Student Orientation for the 2018-2019 school year will take place on August 9th and 10th.
Who?
All D3 students (Parents’ attendance is optional, but not required. There will be a parent night on August 23rd, for parents to meet teachers and staff.)
Students must be in uniform (We will be taking school pictures!)
What?
Get class schedules and room assignments.
Meet the teachers.
Pay school fees.
Get school pictures taken.
Where?
APA D3 campus

7th grade: August 9th, 9am-10am
8th grade: August 9th, 11am-12pm
9th grade: August 10th, 9am-10am
10th-12th grade: August 10th, 11am-12pm

Bring your daughter, your son, your niece, your grandkids, or have a grown up night out! All you need is someone to make memories with!
BALLROOM COMPANY FUNDRAISER
Ages: 7 and Up
Tickets: $5 per person at the door, cash only
Dress: 50’s attire or semi-formal wear (Please follow the APA dress code)
Your ticket includes dance instruction, a performance by the ballroom company, root beer floats, and of course, time on the dance floor to strut your stuff!

College Week
Last week, all of our secondary students participated in College Week. On Friday, our 8th through 12th grade students had the opportunity to visit nearby Utah universities.
8th grade visited UVU
9th grade visited BYU.
10th grade visited the U of U
11th grade visited USU
Seniors got to choose their visit.
The universities were very welcoming and provided fantastic departmental tours and information. We were impressed with the respectful behavior of the vast majority of our students. We hope they enjoyed visiting campuses to get a glimpse of what college life is like and to motivate them to work hard in school now so that they have many choices when they graduate for what they’d like to do next in their lives.
Shakespeare Festival
The APA D3 Drama Team competed at the Utah Shakespeare Festival this weekend for the first time under the direction of Ms. Sanders and Mrs. McGirr. Our students gave excellent performances in two monologues, two duo/trio scenes, and an ensemble scene. Although we are still waiting for adjudication results, we are very proud of our students’ hard work and grateful to be part of this Utah tradition!
Fall Festival!
The 2017 Fall Festival will be a combined D1, D2, and D3 event! The Festival is scheduled for Friday, Sept 8th, from 6-9 pm, at the D2 campus. This year’s activities will include jumping castles and slides, laser tag and archery tag, pony rides, face painting, and carnival games. A wristband will cost $7 in advance and $8 at the door. Dinner will also be available to purchase for just $5. Proceeds will go to funding FSO sponsored activities, band, SBO, and drama. Tickets are now available ONLINE! Yep! It is super easy to get your tickets… go to apaevents.blogspot.com. Tickets will also be on sale Tues-Fri (Sept 5-8), before and after school, at D2.
